January Meeting, Windham Town Hall, 2nd floor, assemble at 7 pm. Business Meeting at 7:30, followed by program. Refreshments will be served.  Prospective Members Invited  "Layering Bulbs in Pots", a horticulture project instructed by Denise Sarnie, Master Gardener, and member of Windham Garden Club.  We will create a barrel of continuous spring blooms to compliment "Our Home".

February Meeting, Windham Town Hall, 2nd floor, assemble at 7 pm. Business Meeting at 7:30, followed by program. Refreshments will be served. Prospective Members Invited  "Backyard Beekeeping" as a Hobby and for Profit. NH Beekeeper of the Year 2008, Wendy Booth, runs 10-14 hives under the business name of www.HiveHealthy.com.  She will present a lecture on The Art of Keeping Bees at "Our Home".

March Meeting, Windham Town Hall, 2nd floor, assemble at 7 pm. Business Meeting at 7:30, followed by program.  Refreshments will be served.  Prospective Members Invited  Conservation Project:  Create a Birdhouse from recycled materials and bring it to the meeting.  Birdhouses will be judged based on:
1.  Quality of Habitat for specie of nesting bird.
2.  Clever use of recycled non-toxic materials.
3.  Beauty and originality of the birdhouse.
While the judging takes place, there will be a CD shown on The NGC 2008 "Bird & Butterfly Project".

OPEN TO PUBLIC   April Meeting, Windham Town Hall, 2nd floor, assemble at 7 pm. Business Meeting at 7:30, followed by program.  Refreshments will be served. "Celebrating With Flowers in Personal Ways"  Lapel Sprigs, Corsages, and Hair Adornments.  Designers from Ford The Florist will demonstrate how to prep the flowers and construct the items. Come early: some audience members will be  selected for "hands on" instruction/participation.

PUBLIC INVITED TO FUNDRAISER - Jr.Garden Club Plant Sale, 8 am - noon Windham Recycle Station The Junior Garden Club will be holding their  Mother's Day Plant Sale, featuring plants which they have grown from seeds planted in January and nurtured till bloom.  Prices start at $5.00. Proceeds support Junior Garden Club projects.

Prospective Members Invited  "Ask The Plant Doctor"  Panel Questionaire ID of weeds/bugs - WGC Master Gardeners Business Meeting: The Plant Sale Coodinator will conduct the Business Meeting, finalizing all duties for Sat.  Funds raised will support two $2,000 Scholarships.

Windham Garden Club Plant Sale Town Hall Parking Lot North Lowell Street, Windham, NH OUR FAMOUS PLANT SALE - STARTS AT 10 AM Our own club grown vegetables and herbs, some organic.  Large variety of hardy perennials, a few Japanese maple saplings, bedding annuals, hanging baskets, and award winning new varieties.  Activities for the children.  Raffles.  BARGAINS!!  All to benefit The Nancy Surrette Memorial Scholarship Fund, awarding two $2,000 scholarships to students.

Pot Recycle Day #1  Windham Recycle Station 8:00 am - 2:00 pm "GO GREEN"  Bring your empty planting pots to the recycle station upper parking lot.  The Garden Club will gladly re-use them for our many civic projects.  Especially fond of 1 to 2 gallon sizes.

Windham Garden Club Booth Strawberry Festival, Nesmith Library Shuttle Bus from Rte 111 Park 'n Ride Windham Garden Club Booth will feature an urn filled with strawberry plants, to be raffled off to benefit F.L.O.W.  Information about Garden Club membership will also be available.

June Meeting  - Searles School and Chapel Range Road, Windham Annual Summer Solstice - Awards Banquet Social Hour at 6:00 pm, Hot Buffet at 7:00 pm. Members and invited guests.  The 2010 Nancy Surrette Memorial Scholarships will be awarded.
