WINDHAM GARDEN CLUB

MINUTES OF REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING

October 18, 2007

  1. WELCOME AND INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS

    The meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm at the Windham Town Hall by President Jill Martin

    The Officers present were

    President Jill Martin

    1st Vice-Pres Denise Sarnie - Programs

    2nd Vice-Pres Julia Salafia - Yearbook + Website

    Rhonda Peckham - Membership

    - The Yearbook was distributed at this meeting

    2ND VICE PRESIDENT- MEMBERSHIP:

    TREASURER: Financial Statements posted

    SECRETARY: Prior meeting Minutes posted on the WGC website + on the bulletin board

    PRESIDENT:

    - Club members anniversaries announced ranging from 2 years to 15 years

    - Innisbrook Gift Wrap- get orders to Linda German for delivery at November meeting

    - National Garden Club Calendars – see Jill if you want one, $3.25 each

    - District V Meeting - November 5 at Atkinson Country Club – all welcome

    - Tiffany Gardens has donated many, many plants to our Plant Sale

    MOTION: donate $100 to Sonshine Kitchen in name of Tiffany Gardens

    Motion – Shirlee Dallas

    Seconded – Victor Harmon

    Unanimously approved by membership

    Windham Historical Meeting November 7 – info from Jean Manthorne

    - Development of the Rail Trail will be the topic

    To preserve carved pumpkins, spray with Wilt-Pruf – hint from Holly

     

  5. BREAK and REFRESHMENTS - HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE

    THIS MONTH’S THEME –Fall’s beautiful mums + colorful leaves
