WINDHAM GARDEN CLUB MINUTES OF REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING March 19, 2009 Vernal Equinox – March 20 at 7:44 am
I. WELCOME AND INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS The meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm at the Windham Town Hall by President Jill Martin The Officers present were President Jill Martin 1st Vice-Pres Denise Sarnie - Programs Secretary Su Bennett
The Officers excused were Julia Salafia (2nd VP), Rhonda Peckham (2nd VP), Jean Manthorne (Treasurer)
Credentials- Members in attendance: 24, Total membership: 47 51% Guests: 0

1st VICE PRESIDENT-PROGRAMS: Nothing additional to report
2ND VICE PRESIDENT- YEARBOOK + WEBSITE: Excused
2ND VICE PRESIDENT - MEMBERSHIP: Excused
TREASURER: Financial Statements posted
SECRETARY: Prior meeting Minutes posted on the WGC website + on the bulletin board
PRESIDENT: - Spring Digs start soon – need lots of plants from member’s gardens this year - Tiffany Gardens lost many plants this winter, so Kathy won’t be able to donate much - Need help potting bare root perennials at Shirlee’s April 3rd + 4th in the morning - Club Scrapbook is due April 1 – need help from any members 6:30 every Tues at Sam’s home - NHFGC Annual Meeting, May 27 at Atkinson Country Club – “All About Rain Gardens” - Jill has sign up sheet - We are tickled to have Grace back with us after her surgery - Joanne Ago’s mom passed away – a basket of flowers was sent by the Club
IV. OPEN TO THE FLOOR STANDING COMMITTEES:
HORTICULTURE COMMITTEE – Josie Cappiello + Jill Martin - Container Workshop – in Josie’s driveway on Sunday, May 31 at 1pm for $20
JR GARDEN CLUB – - Juniors will have their own Raffle item for the Plant Sale - The day before Mother’s Day will have lots of plants to sell at the Transfer Station
SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE – Grace Marad - The first scholarship application has been submitted, looking forward to more
MEMBERS INFO TO SHARE: - Take salt marsh hay off your beds in stages, half now, half in a week or so - Shirlee - Shirlee will have perennials for pre-sale at the break – and check out the beautiful pictures
