MINUTES OF REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING

January 15, 2009

I.      WELCOME AND INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm at the Windham Town Hall by President Jill Martin

The Officers present were

               President          Jill Martin

               1^st  Vice-Pres     Denise Sarnie - Programs

               2^nd Vice-Pres     Julia Salafia - Yearbook + Website

                                       Rhonda Peckham - Membership

Treasurer           Jean Manthorne

               Secretary          Su Bennett

The following people were welcomed:

- new member  Sue McNulla, friend of Linda German      

Credentials: Members in attendance:  24     Total membership:   47  =   51%

1^st VICE PRESIDENT-PROGRAMS:

2^ND VICE PRESIDENT- YEARBOOK + WEBSITE:

- Julia sent out the Yearbook – please check your info carefully + let her know of any changes

- Julia also thanked Linda German for all of her help editing the Yearbook

- Julia will send informative email from Lake Street Garden Center

            - you can ask them to add you to their mailing list, too!

2^ND VICE PRESIDENT - MEMBERSHIP:

TREASURER:  Financial Statements posted

SECRETARY:  Prior meeting Minutes posted on the WGC website + on the bulletin board

PRESIDENT:

- Thanked everyone for braving the 0 degree weather !

-  Yearbook changes

            - May Meeting is May 14, 2009

            - Plant Sale is May 16, 2009

            - Pot Recycle is, in fact, 2 days – June 4 + 13, 2009

            - June Summer Solstice Meeting is June 25, 2009

            - Many Email address changes – Julia will send out

- Sam D needs help for the scrapbook, even for just one meeting so please come, dates are emailed  

IV.   OPEN TO THE FLOOR

SPECIAL COMMITTEES/EVENTS:

ART in BLOOM -

- New Chairperson neglected to send us the application, so we are not participating this year

Promised we are on top of list for next year

SHARING:

Linda German passed out some pages from the Master Gardener Manual about pruning trees + bushes, since there is a lot of damage from the December ice storm
