WINDHAM GARDEN CLUB MINUTES OF REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING April 16, 2009
I. WELCOME AND INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS The meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm at the Windham Town Hall by President Jill Martin The Officers present were President Jill Martin 1st Vice-Pres Denise Sarnie - Programs 2nd Vice-Pres Julia Salafia - Yearbook + Website Rhonda Peckham - Membership Treasurer Jean Manthorne Secretary Su Bennett
The following people were welcomed: - New member Jerry Parsons – moved here from California, worked at Botanical Gardens - Valerie Lincoln and Kelly Sosik-Hamor guests of Cheryl Cravino
Credentials- Members in attendance: 27 Total membership: 48 or 56 % Guests: 2

SECRETARY: Prior meeting Minutes posted on the WGC website + on the bulletin board
PRESIDENT: - Colonial Garden Club of Hollis Garden Tour is June 27, 2009 - NHFGC Scrapbook + Yearbook judging is April 20, 9:30 am at Diane McMillen’s 7 Meeting Rock Drive, Atkinson, NH – call her or Jill if you’d like to help - NHFGC Annual Meeting, Wednesday, May 27 at Atkinson Country Club, $30 – see Jill
- Plant Sale Potting Party, 9 am on Saturday, April 18 at Shirlee Dallas’, 4 Aspen St - Bring any plants you have to pot - no donation too small - 520 pots were done per the email Shirlee sent out on Sunday - there is still labeling to do!! - Plant Sale sign-up sheets were at the meeting, if you don’t sign up, Jill will sign you up!
- Membership renewals will be done at the May Meeting this year – Bring your checkbook!
- Club Award nominations – please fill out form at the meeting + give to Jill or contact Jill directly - For presentation at the June Summer Solstice Gourmet Potluck Dinner Meeting
IV. OPEN TO THE FLOOR STANDING COMMITTEES:
HORTICULTURE COMMITTEE – - Container Workshop, May 31 at Josie’s - $20 – Josie has sign up list
JR GARDEN CLUB – - Mother’s Day Viola Sale – May 9 at the transfer station - Over 150 have been potted up - come early if you want one, they sold out very quickly last year! - The flowering pots will sport foil wrap and a lovely bow - New this year - Jr Club Raffle item from Ford Flowers - Silk Flowering Basket with a removable 1 ½ gallon pot of violas + Patio Sky Blue Salvia Tickets are 6 for $5 – winner will be drawn at the Plant Sale on May 16
PLANT SALE RAFFLE - - Linda has a lot more tickets- contact her if you’d like more to sell

V. BREAK and REFRESHMENTS - HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE THIS MONTH’S THEME – Spring Time - Beautiful Red tulips graced the table along with a bowl of exquisite hand-decorated eggs Many thanks to Tracy Poteat, Gail Salcito and Jan Swanson for the yummy + healthy treats!
