WINDHAM GARDEN CLUB MINUTES OF REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING April 17, 2008
I. WELCOME AND INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS The meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm at the Windham Town Hall by 1st Vice-President Denise Sarnie The Officers present were 1st Vice-Pres Denise Sarnie - Programs 2nd Vice-Pres Julia Salafia - Yearbook + Website Rhonda Peckham - Membership Treasurer Jean Manthorne Secretary Su Bennett The Officer excused was President, Jill Martin The following people were welcomed: - Gini Fairbanks, Lynn Goldman, Frances Horman, Ann Marie Peterson, and Louise Rand II. MOTIONS MOTION: Purchase calculators for use by Talliers at the Plant Sale MOVED: Shirlee Dallas SECONDED: Linda German IN FAVOR: Remainder of Club OPPOSED: None CARRIED

V. OPEN TO THE FLOOR STANDING COMMITTEES: CIVIC IMPROVEMENT COMMITTEE – Joanne Ago - Joanne will be calling committee members for cleanup + Memorial Day planting around town
HORTICULTURE COMMITTEE – Josie Cappiello + Jill Martin - Container Workshop, Sunday June 1 at 1:30 pm at Josie’s - Shirlee has sign-up sheet; cost $15
JR GARDEN CLUB – Julia Salafia - Saturday before Mother’s Day - Sale at Transfer Station 9am-1pm
PLANT SALE COMMITTEE – - Shirlee has the various sign up sheets for Plant Sale at this meeting - If you have plants to be dug for the Plant Sale, need to be dug at least 2 weeks prior to Sale - Potting up for Sale at Shirlee’s staring at 9:30 am until done - Shirlee has member’s pre-sale plants, see her for pick up RAFFLE: Linda German - Reviewed the prizes - Sell those tickets!!!! ART in BLOOM – Denise Sarnie - Picture of ancient clay pot will be posted on WGC website - Will be April 26-29 at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston
PETALS 2 PAINT – Robin Heider + Cookie Santerre - Come see their original paintings THIS weekend, East Colony Fine Arts in Manchester
DAFFODIL DAYS – Joanne Ago - Many Gifts of Hope donated this year - Raised this year a total of $ 6,616.86 - Pre-ordered $1,745, Delivered, but ordered via Internet - $ 3,015 Public Day- at Howie Glynn’s $262, at Village Bean $ 395, and at the Transfer Station $ 1,199.86
